FREEHOLD FIN, FUR & FEATHER SPORTING CLAYS ARE FUN!  COALITION CLAY DUSTERS & MISSERS VISIT 4F CLUB!

by Black Wire Media Friday Oct. 30, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Private shooting clubs is where freedom lives! Some say they're "all-in" when it comes to the 2nd Amendment, but it's just words on paper bylaws in a filing cabinet. Others, such as Freehold Fin, Fur and Feather Club, put both their actions AND their wallets into steadfastly protecting it by attending Second Amendment fundraisers and promoting shooting to women and kids. Last Sunday the Coalition had the pleasure of attending a sporting clays match held at their club. Here's the story...

We received the invite from Chris Marron, a club member that had attended our pheasant hunt fundraiser last season at Giberson Farms. He and his squad of bird hunters enjoyed our camaraderie and are impressed by our mission. So the "4F Club" as it's known locally, has been supporting the Coalition for years, we just weren't made aware of it. That is until last week. Marron, having already signed up to attend our Lehigh fundraiser, called to explain and put us in touch with Ray Seborowski, 4F Club's sporting clays chairman. Marron and Seborowski run the sporting clays together, and they talked-up our upcoming fundraiser being held Sunday Nov. 15th at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays to their fellow members, garnering us approx. three squads of four clay crushers each!

We're still registering for our 11-15 Lehigh fundraiser to benefit our lawsuit and general funds, so please join us HERE: www.cnjfo.com/Event-4007823

Ray Seborowski is a retired biology teacher, having taught at Old Bridge HS for decades. An avid bird hunter, he's an "institution" at the 4F Club, and has been a volunteer NJF&W Hunter Education Instructor for generations of NJ hunters. We got to watch him work with new shooters Bridgit and her daughter Mia, as the pair were new to sporting clays (see photos). Firm on safety but gentle on fine adjustments, soft-spoken Ray is a "natural" with women and kids, his many years of experience is both obvious and comforting. Bridgit and Mia broke several targets, with huge smiles of accomplishment as everyone cheered them on.

CNJFO Communications Director Theresa Inacker took Bridgit and daughter Mia aside for some pointers from a woman's perspective.

Inacker loaned Bridgit her padded shooting vest after Bridgit confided she started feeling the recoil as a first-timer. The vest did the trick and Bridgit broke more targets (see photos).

Joining Inacker were CNJFO's Treasurer Jack Pyle and Vice President Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal, who is also Editor in-Chief of Black Wire Media, CNJFO's news organization. The three Coalition executives represent only half of the groups board of trustees, as running NJ's most active 2A group is a 7-days-a-week proposition.

Our three "Dusters & Missers", a phrase coined by Rosenthal that is being printed on sweatshirts given to every shooter at the Nov. 15th Clays event, did more missing than dusting. That didn't affect the camaraderie or FUN as we all enjoyed a crisp fall day in the woods. Presentations included both manually-cocked traps and electrics from multiple angles which offered a real challenge. Ray said it wasn't going to be easy and he was right! Midi-sized clays at treetop level, regulation-sized birds in the deep woods with changing leaves, and utilization of their trap house throwing "crossers" entertained all. 40+ yard rabbit targets thrown as a "simo" (simultaneously) were everyone's nemesis, so we were in fine company! Duster & Misser Pyle had this to say:

"Could have used a turkey choke for those "wraskally wabbits" half a football field away!"---CNJFO's Jack Pyle

Seborowski, an international bird hunter, had three generations of his family at the sporting clays match last Sunday. Both his daughter and grand daughter joined him on the 50-bird course, and his wife Carol, who brought home-made baked goods and pheasant chili to share with all present, was there to cheer every broken target. To say there was a twinkle in grandpop's eyes would be an understatement.

Our trustees were given a tour of 4F Club's 100 yard rifle range, the separate archery range, and were invited to commiserate over missed birds and the governmental overreach coming out of our state capitol. 4F's clubhouse, with its inviting banter and wood burning stove ablaze to take the damp chill out of your bones, is where we learned of the club's annual Boy Scout merit badge day.

The 4F Club hosts an annual hands-on .22 small bore rifle and shotgun merit badge day where the Scouts get to earn their badges by demonstrating safety and proficiency under the watchful eyes of competent instructors. 4F Club also conducts a conservation class by doing a deer skinning demo, teaching today's youth to be the responsible hunters of tomorrow.

Knowing from experience what youth operations cost and how important they are to the future of the 2nd Amendment, CNJFO trustees donated $100 to 4F Club to help offset the increase in ammo expenses to give the badge day. The gift came as a welcome surprise and will be announced at 4F Club's next meeting.

Did NJ Gov. Murphys' Invitations to Pro-Freedom Groups Get Lost in the Mail?

NJ GOV NEVER INVITED 2A LEADERS TO ANY MEETING ON GUNS!  SO CNJFO WROTE TO BOTH EXECUTIVE & LEGISLATIVE BRANCHES!

by Black Wire Media Thur. Oct 29, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

CNJFO Life Member John Petrolino, author of "Decoding Firearms, an Easy to Read Guide on General Gun Safety & Use" and Ammoland contributor, just published a scathing article proving New Jersey's Governor, Phil Murphy, is so anti-gun he won't even listen to how unconstitutional many of the feel-good gun laws he signed into law are! Instead he'd rather surround himself with the screeching, red-shirted mommies from Moms Demand Action and other anti-gun sycophants. None of NJ's 2nd Amendment leadership was ever invited to a "Gun Summit", "Roundtable on Firearms" or any such thing since he became Governor.

CNJFO President Dan Grdovic had this to say when asked by Petrolino if the Coalition was ever invited:

"CNJFO has never been invited to or has been asked for input on any roundtable, town hall meetings, pending legislation, or summits held by the Governor's Office or anyone else in the Legislature with regard to Second Amendment or Gun Safety issues. Ironically, our mission statement states in part that ‘CNJFO was founded to advocate for lawful, safe and responsible firearms ownership in New Jersey.'

'New Jersey's gun laws are designed to only hamper lawful firearms ownership in New Jersey. The existing laws are not followed by violent criminals within the state, and the judicial scheme regularly drops any and all firearms related charges against the most violent criminals, while simultaneously pursuing lynching of otherwise law abiding citizens (See the following cases: Van Gilder, Allen, Twyne)'.

"CNJFO would be proud to sit in on any such gathering and provide our members' views to the Executive or Legislative Branches for their consideration. It's time for the Governor to acknowledge his ‘echo chamber' past and invite his opponents to the table for meaningful discussion that includes opposition.” ---Dan Grdovic, CNJFO President

On July 1st, 2020 CNJFO wrote a letter to Governor Murphy and every member of the state legislature. Sussex County replied back to us with their steadfast support. We guess the Post Office must have misdirected everyone else's (dripping sarcasm)? From our news article announcing the letter:

"In an unprecedented bond of unity, New Jersey’s leading Second Amendment organizations have sent a detailed letter to New Jersey’s Governor Murphy, Attorney General Grewal, Superintendent of State Police, Colonel Patrick J. Callahan, and all members of the Legislature proposing reforms to the New Jersey firearms permitting process and background checks. Moreover, the groups are calling for the elimination of qualified immunity for delays in permitting that result in bodily harm or death to the applicant".

"This proactive call for reform comes as riots, looting and general criminal disturbances are on the rise. New Jersey gun owners are calling for accountability of government for delays in the process and an end to systemic infringements. While I support Constitutional carry, this is a great first step toward that goal." ---Theresa Inacker, CNJFO Communications Director

CNJFO spearheaded this unprecedented call for reforms to New Jersey's antiquated firearms background check system which helped lead to the predictable yet totally unnecessary death of Berlin, NJ's Carol Bowne five years ago. Bowne was stabbed to death in her own driveway on day #43 waiting for permission to purchase a firearm. Domestic violence victims need a streamlined permitting system!

Fast-forward to today... Obviously we're not going to hold our breath WAITING for our INVITE!....

WOMEN BUYING GUNS GET REAL ANSWERS FROM THE PRO's!  FEMALES FIND GUN BUYING EASY AT CHEYENNE MTN. OUTFITTER!

by Black Wire Media Tues. Oct. 27, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Home invasions are on the rise, and they often have multiple assailants. Women are scared to death by the TV news and an uncertain future. Riots, unrest, food shortages wreak havoc on the mind and family responsibilities being a "Protector" weigh heavily, especially for single moms. They're buying guns in record numbers, and gun stores are no longer "pushing" the hard-to-shoot, pink-colored ultra-compacts and snub-nosed revolvers to the fairer sex. That condescending behavior by gun salesmen is long over (thank GOD!).

Instead, professional outfitters behind gun counters are asking pertinent questions and steering first time gun buying women (and men) to firearms that suit the buyer's intended purpose---self defense! Full-size pistol frames with a longer sight radius (distance between front & rear sights), standard-length barrel and 10 round magazine (largest NJ law allows) meet their needs.

These features allow new gun owners to hit what they're aiming at, and do it SOONER & FASTER, as the full-size guns are easier to point, shoot, have less recoil (commonly called "kick") and allow quicker, more accurate follow-up shots. With the possibility of multiple perps trying to break-in, 10 rounds (plus 1 in the chamber) beats 5 in a snubby hands-down! Practice is of course still required to attain marksmanship, and TRAINING, although not mandatory, is what a responsible gun owner seeks.

Women do a number of activities with friends and relatives, and gun buying is no different. An aunt and niece went gun shopping together last Saturday, gun permits in-hand, asking CNJFO's Youth Shooting Committee Chair Eric Saperstein, a part-time salesman at Cheyenne Mountain, lots of questions. Saperstein answered cheerfully, and asked some questions of his own, including the intended purpose of the firearms and whether the pair are right-handed or left-handed, to which they both responded as "lefties".

Saperstein showed them how to work a pistol they pointed to in the gun case. They fumbled, trying to use their right hands to operate the slide by putting it into battery (make the pistol ready to fire). Then he went to fetch a pair of Walther PPQ M-2 pistols that feature an ambidextrous slide release. The ladies looked at each other and smiled. They now had something in their hands that FIT and their needs were met. Both guns were sold to very happy first-time gun buyers! Saperstein had to explain the incessant infringement scheme of the NJ NICS delay of an entire business week, but at least they could bring home the 9mm ammunition for now.

The line outside waiting to get into Cheyenne Mountain Outfitters, on Rt. 130 south in Bordentown, NJ last Saturday, was nearly wrapped around the parking lot. Covid capacity restrictions meant a longer wait to get the customized service Cheyenne is famous for, and everyone waited patiently, including this writer.

Cheyenne is an official sponsor of the Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners, having donated materials & ammo to Saperstein's Youth Shoots (which we hope to schedule again soon). For more info, hours, etc., go to:

ARMING WOMEN ENJOYED BY CNJFO SPONSOR KULAK ARMS!  FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE KEEPS THEM COMING BACK!

by Black Wire Media Mon. Oct. 26, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Many first-time gun buyers these days are women, often fearful for their lives due to current events and media coverage of same. Riots, civil unrest, and "the 'Rona" all capture the attention and continue to help manufacture new gun owners by the millions across America, with no end in sight. The old TV news adage, "If it BLEEDS, it LEADS" still applies, and many of New Jersey's estimated 145,000 new gun owners are female.

CNJFO sponsor Richie Kulak, President of Kulak Arms in Lawrence Twp., NJ, enjoys empowering women from all walks of life by selling them firearms and ammo. Kulak proudly breaks the mold of the misogynist gun dealer, thereby getting lots of word-of-mouth advertising from female customers. Kulak started his business dealing with cops and first responders, and their WIVES. Richie is seeing more & more women buying guns from him. It only makes sense. Women TALK and they learn Kulak is a soft-spoken straight shooter, giving common-sense advice that makes his customers happy and keeps them coming back!

Such was the case last Saturday when we visited to drop-off CNJFO brochures and buy a case of birdshot to feed the 20 ga. A mature woman, happy with her recent hand gun purchase, came in for more ammo. Kulak told her to only buy a little because the discounted bulk packs are due-in next week, and she'd SAVE MONEY by waiting. This great news made her even happier to be there! Richie sold her a box so she'd have some, handed her a just-delivered CNJFO brochure (see photo so YOU know where to get one when visiting), and we asked how she felt about being a new gun owner.

"I sleep better at night knowing I can protect myself. The Cops can't be everywhere at once. It's my RIGHT, and although it took me a while to exercise it, I FEEL SAFER knowing it's there "just in-case". I'm empowered now"---Female first-time gun owner

Richie Kulak is a full time LEO that loves the gun culture. He loves it so much so that when he leaves his "day job", he comes home to his Lawrence Twp., NJ basement "bunker" and literally surrounds himself with firearms spanning a 200 year history. Flintlocks to Glocks, he's got it all. Kulak established Kulak Arms in 1996, and up until 2017 his FFL business mostly catered to fellow LEO's and first responders. He "went public" in 2017 and the business "exploded". Kulak is a strong 2A proponent and relies solely on "word-of-mouth" advertising.

Richie spends a lot of time educating the masses on what's needed permit-wise to purchase firearms in NJ. He has folks walking in without a clue, after watching the TV news, thinking they can merely traipse-in and walk out with a firearm. Because the news media makes it all seem so simple. Items such as background checks, mental health check, references, and the entire permitting process & timeline get conveniently left-out by the media as they bang the drum for more & more gun control.

Kulak Arms handles both retail AND Police Dept. sales, gunsmithing, hydro-dipping, machining parts (machinist on staff), NJ compliance work (mag & muzzle pinning), consignments, estate sales, transfers, and hunting & fishing licenses as an official Agent of NJF&W. Kulak Arms is the official FFL doing all transfers for the local Ducks Unlimited chapter, donating his time. CNJFO's sponsor since August, Kulak Arms conducts basic to advanced firearms training. NEW RIA All Generations 12 Gauge - EXCEPTIONAL VALUE!

CNJFO SCATTERGUNNERS STAR IN SLAV GUNS YOUTUBE VIDEO!  ROCK ISLAND ARMORY'S NEWEST 12 GA. TESTED LAST SUNDAY!

by Black Wire Media Fri.. Oct. 23, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

CNJFO's Shows & Community Outreach Committee member Nick Wong joined member Stuart Gepp, and CNJFO Vice President Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal, for some clays practice at the NJF&W's Clinton, NJ, Wildlife Management Area clay range Sunday. The threesome of clay dusters were met by Maks from New Jersey Gun Forums and Slav Guns of YouTube fame. Maks & the Boys tested a brand new Rock Island Armory 12 ga. pump, which performed flawlessly.

The video of the new 12 ga. pump action shotgun just posted a few hours ago. In it, all four smashed clays with ease, Gepp did a magazine-emptying rapid-fire drill and Rosenthal broke a clay using only one hand---a trick shot he often does with his own 12 ga. pump. The new shotgun features an adjustable comb for cheek height and buttstock inserts to reduce or extend the length-of-pull for superior "shotgun fit".

Wong and Rosenthal were interviewed and spoke highly of this Rock Island 12 ga. Gepp, who initially posted the invite on Sean Fisher's Black Bag Resources (an official CNJFO sponsor) blog (www.blackbagresources.com ), supplied his new clay thrower and the foursome discussed our Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays fundraiser on Sunday November 15th and attending SHOT in January.

The Sporting Clays fundraiser at prestigious Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays will support CNJFO's continued fight for liberty, and against Red Flags, other bad gun law and governmental overreach is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! YOU can REGISTER HERE: www.cnjfo.com/Event-4007823 . Wong, Gepp and Rosenthal are registered to attend.

DIVERSITY SHOOT TEACHES SAFETY TO NEW GUN OWNERS!  CNJFO INSTRUCTORS VOLUNTEER, AND THAT'S NO MALARKEY!

by Black Wire Media Fri. Oct. 23, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

No malarkey was being tossed-around at last night's The 2nd is for Everyone: Diversity Shoot Tony Simon held at Heritage Guild's range in Easton, PA. during the Presidential Debate. Just expert advice & instruction from the dedicated volunteers that provide their own firearms to train new shooters from all walks of life. The Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners, NJ's busiest 2nd Amendment organization, provided that instruction with members and supporters led by CNJFO Shows & Community Outreach Committee member Nick Wong. CNJFO has been at nearly every Diversity Shoot Simon has run since its inception, and (no malarkey!) that's five years worth!

Nick brought his 9mm Beretta Storm carbine, and several hand guns for all the attendees to try. Alan Wong (no relation) brought his AR-15 platform pistol caliber carbine with its cool-looking custom paint job, and a dot-sighted semi-auto 9mm pistol that our new shooters found a joy to shoot. Longtime member Angelo Yacone brought his AR-15 chambered in .22LR and other neat guns. One of the volunteers used a full-size 5.56mm AR-15 so everyone got to try that as well. CNJFO's "Charlie-the-Perp" targets were supplied free to all shooters and Heritage supplied the cute Halloween themed "Witch" targets (see photos).

Simon has become sort of an internet sensation as an "Influencer" hosting his own 2A4E podcast and being a guest on several others throughout 2A culture and the gun industry. Last night a couple from Baltimore, MD drove 4.5 hours to get to the Shoot and LOVED IT!

Both Simon and CNJFO Vice President, Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal, addressed the attendees on the importance of the Second Amendment and how fragile it has become and therefore needs protecting by all concerned citizens whether they're gun owners or not.

Simon conducted a Safety Brief for the "Newbies" using a Blue Gun (an inert, non-firing demo for classroom use). Simon and Rosenthal spoke in the upstairs meeting room at Heritage, and pizza & soda was consumed there prior to entering the well-lit indoor firing range. Everyone had a great time and CNJFO signed-up new member Michael Rufo (welcome!).

The next Diversity Shoot is scheduled for November 19th at Heritage Guild in Easton, PA. For further info, go to: www.DIVERSITYSHOOT.com . To learn more about CNJFO's activism and read about all things 2A-related in NJ and around the country, please visit: www.cnjfo.com/News
