The Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners hereby congratulates Freehold Fin, Fur and Feather Club members Tom Ward, Stephen Ferraro, Gordon Haskell, and Joe Johnson, for winning "High Squad" honors at our history-making fundraiser held at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays on Sunday November 15th. The "CNJFO Dusters & Missers Club" foursome averaged 81 targets broken out of a 100-clay picturesque course of fire featuring 16 stations that surround Lehigh's abandoned limestone quarry.
Joe Johnson (wearing hoodie) also earned "High Man" honors with a score of 90 x 100, pushing his squads' average to the winners circle. Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal, CNJFO Vice President, visited the 4F Club yesterday, making the official presentations immediately prior to a regularly scheduled Trap Shoot the club held. In addition to the handsome trophies, the entire squad won a one year subscription (value $25) to Sons of Liberty Survival Outfitters, a discount club with hundreds of 2A loving businesses.
Rosenthal brought his 20 ga. Side X Side, and shot two rounds of Trap with the 4F Club members, many of whom attended our fundraiser. While on the firing line, a younger shooter with a 12 ga. pump had some difficulty ejecting a spent shell, so Rosenthal handed his scattergun to another shooter and went to fix the jam. Problem solved and jam cleared, no one else had to respond. Rosey didn't win any any award score-wise yesterday, but his Chief Range Safety Officer training came in handy, much to everyone's delight.
Fellow "CNJFO Duster And Misser" Ray Seborowski, 4F Club Clays Chair, did the scoring yesterday from the elevated platform hand-built by club members. Ray's wife Carol made pheasant marsala and hot coffee for yesterday's Trap Shoot, using an electric skillet to keep it hot. Ray's daughter and grand daughter also attended the Shoot and his grand daughter shot Trap.
Seborowski reiterated his invite for CNJFO members to attend 4F Club Clays events. Seborowski is also searching for biodegradable clays, as an apparent shortage now exists. 4F Club buys clays by the skid. Anyone with information on a NJ distributor offering a quantity discount that has clays IN-STOCK, please write to us so we can forward the info & thanks!
CNJFO is proud to partner with clubs like Freehold Fin, Fur and Feather and looks forward to making appearances at several more New Jersey clubs as time & scheduling allow. For more 2A news & views, remember to check out www.cnjfo.com/News .
