[Forked River, New Jersey.] Pro-Second Amendment women met with District 9 Legislators, Senator Christopher Connors, Assemblywoman DiAnne Gove and Assemblyman Brian Rumpf in their district offices in Forked River, New Jersey.
The women of the DC Project-New Jersey Team, are a group of female firearms owners and advocates inside one of the most heavily infringed states in the nation.
The women are on a mission. Safety will only be achieved through education. The team is determined to establish relationships with their legislators, and to be a resource on firearms safety.
The District 9 officials were sincere and supportive. Each listened to the women describe why they are Second Amendment advocates. The women recanted incidents of domestic violence, break-ins, personal security and love of country and Constitution. The women expressed that gun rights infringements do more harm than good, and make us defenseless and at risk.
Melissa Deeney, owner of Legacy Indoor Range and Armory provided the business perspective in a state hostile to both business and firearms.
The team already has plans to meet with two additional sets of Legislators. This will be an ongoing and continuous mission. Second Amendment rights are women’s rights, and vigilance is the key. #DoingSomething #2A #TealFor2A
